The below will be updated each
weekend with pictures taken for the track upgrade
taking place at LRRCC.
Week 1
During the first week the internal fences, and
track piping was removed while the holes for the
new Drivers Stand position were also dug out.
The LRRCC Committee would like to thank Frank,
Colin and Jack Simmons for helping both days,
Michael Parsons for his help digging the holes.
Also big thanks to the Lewis's the Snedden's and
Joe Porfida.
Week 2
The track has now been cleared with the footings
for the drivers stand and timing shed now in place.
Again an awsome effort put in by those that turned
up on Saturday, Colin Simmons for organising the
reo cages for the footings and also aquirering
a compressor for the club, Jack Simmons, Dane,
Michael Parsons and Justin Snape.
Week 6
The rain finally stopped and allowed us to get all of the major structures moved. The Drivers Stand, Race Control, Scrutenering Shed and Canteen all in there new homes. The guys that came out today did a great job welding, screwing and wiring plenty of things together to help ensure that everything gets done.
We should be getting the new clay to the track shortly and move full steam ahead into the track build.
Week 7
The clay was moved onsite this weekend and will start to be shaped next week. The focus of the work was to complete the Canteen, Scrutenering Shed and Race Control which is almost complete. The pit ramps have been set
and the formwork for the concreting of the pit area and the Race Stand Stair's have been completed ready for concrete to be laid this coming Saturday.
If anyone has an old Air-Conditioner that works (Square style) and would like to donate it to the club that would be great as we would like to mounts one in Race Control if we can.
Week 8
More work has taken place over the weekend and a big thank you to the usual suspects. The Concreting is completed with new concrete in the pits and infront of the canteen, which will be getting a fresh
coat of paint before we open. More dirt will be delivered to the site this week with the base almost complete and jumps needing to be sculpted.
Next weekend will be a big one so if you can get down at anytime to help please come along and help out.
Week 9
Well the final week of track build is happening with the weather doing no favours but work
is going along well. There have been plenty of people down this weekend to lend a hand and more is
needed tomorrow.
The track is all layed out and look AWESOME!! The track should have a bit for everyone from begineer to Pro this track
should hopefully be challenged.
